Love is the essence of life, and its poetry. Tolstoy was right, writing that “there are as many minds as there are heads, and there are as many kinds of loves as there are hearts.” I often tell my clients and patients: take time to love generously, for your love for yourself, and love, even if it is often the hardest thing you have ever done in your life, as you fight with your distrust, harm which was done, and pain. I often tell my clients and patients: none ever applied to be born on this planet in this particular time period, in this skin, in this body, with this gender, in this country, in this family, and with this ability or disability… but if we have, we can as well make the most out of it, and love is the best thing which we can engage in, in this fleeting world we are living.
I have been blessed with being loved a lot in my life, and I am very grateful for all the love I received – these loves which shine on my sky like the sun and will last forever, and those which run through my sky like falling stars, and will last forever, too– I received all of them humbly, and I carry the sparks of these loves in me like my treasure. They built me up, added to my essence, made me wiser, more beautiful, deepened my humanity, they taught me how to love myself and others, they gave me so, so much…
Take time to love, and be happy that you can still do so.
Peace to all,
Alicja
“Love is the emblem of eternity; it confounds all notion of time; effaces all memory of a beginning, all fear of an end.” – Madame de Stael
