Together with his partner Agnieszka Juraszczyk, Wojciech founded and runs TRES Foundation which is a cultural organization creating projects in the area of history and memory. TRES has presented its works in Poland, Germany, and France. Among their most important projects is “Next Year in Jerusalem,” which commemorates the Nazis’ expulsion of Jewish people from Germany to Poland in 1938, which became a prelude to the Holocaust. The project included an original exhibition, a series of concerts, an academic symposium, a documentary art book and a movie, and also an educational website.
While focusing their work on projects related to local history, memory, and cultural heritage, Wojciech and Agnieszka firmly stand in support of human rights and civil rights, particularly sensitive to the issues of historical and collective trauma. In his work, he is guided by the principle of using history and memory to heal communities in order to build stronger and healthier collective identities, and also to build bridges over cultural conflicts by facilitating community dialogues using the means of visual and performing arts.
Wojciech joined Numa’s Board of Directors in 2022.
